I have more than two decades of experience developing, executing, optimizing, and scaling digital marketing strategies for clients large and small, building and refining a principles-based framework to do what I do successfully and predictably, and advising and teaching others how to do the same.
I am an infinitely curious, lifelong student fascinated by the mental models, strategies, and methods that reliably produce results outside the norm.
I approach every project and client relationship the same way, embodied in a simple question – if I woke up tomorrow owning your business, knowing what I know, what would I do?

That’s just not me, and I want to be completely transparent about that. Business success is a process, not an event. In my experience success is step by step, day by day, and it is built on a foundation of intelligent strategy and consistent execution. It’s simple, but not easy.
Better strategies produce better results and my expertise is in developing and executing better strategies specific to my clients’ businesses, and then optimizing those results over time.
Working with me requires trust, and in order for you to trust me I have to be honest with you every step of the way. That’s the only way I know how to work, and the only way I want to work. So yes, it’s very likely I can help, and also unlikely you’ll hear me say it will be effortless.

How I Can Help
My philosophy of business is very simple. I want to focus on the few things I do exceptionally well for those people who value those few things the most. Here’s what I do exceptionally well.
First, I am a devoted, experienced student of business able to quickly understand, internalize, and articulate my clients’ business models, and then identify the few core drivers that determine their success.
Second, I know the metrics that matter, how to find and verify those metrics, and most importantly, how to transform that information into accurate, useful, easily understood narratives that explain current business performance and point the way toward high-leverage opportunities for improvement.
Third, I have more than two decades of hands-on experience in the trenches developing, executing, optimizing, and scaling businesses using digital marketing. I have managed tens of millions of dollars of advertising spend, completed more than 550 client projects for businesses, non-profits, and governments, and I am a deeply-devoted student of my craft, investing hundreds of thousands of dollars and tens of thousands of hours in ongoing education to remain at the top of my field.
Combining these three areas of expertise gives me the unique ability to deeply understand a client’s business, identify and explain the business performance story that the client’s numbers are telling, and then create both the high-level strategy and tactical-level plan to execute and continuously optimize that strategy over time.
My extensive teaching and advising experience, deep love and enthusiasm for my craft, and my ability to communicate concisely and effectively ensure that my clients are able to understand, internalize, and act on those insights as well.
